The guides, care cards, calendars and articles on this site may be printed, copied, translated and taught from freely for non-commercial purposes, provided Grihvatika is credited. Photographs may be reused on the same terms unless a caption says otherwise. If you would like to reproduce something commercially, ask us first — we usually say yes.
Accuracy and your own judgement
Plant care advice here is written for typical Indian home conditions and tested by our volunteers, but soils, water and microclimates vary. Treat every recommendation as a starting point, not a prescription.
Medicinal plants
Entries in the medicinal category describe traditional household uses for information only. Nothing on this site is medical advice, and no plant here should replace treatment from a qualified practitioner. Do not use any plant medicinally during pregnancy, for infants, or alongside prescribed medication without professional advice.
