Brand Guidelines

How Grihvatika should look and sound wherever it appears — the site, printed activity sheets, garden signs and school material.

The logo

Grihvatika.org logo on a light ground
On light grounds The preferred lock-up. Use on Paper or white, at full colour, never re-drawn or re-typed.
Grihvatika.org logo on a dark ground
On dark grounds Place the full-colour mark on a Paper patch with 14px corners — the wordmark is too dark to sit on Forest directly.

The mark

The wordmark is Grihvatika.org set in Noto Serif Bold beside the leaf-and-home symbol. Keep clear space of at least the height of the symbol on every side, and never set the mark smaller than 28px tall on screen or 10mm in print.

On dark grounds use the light lock-up; on photographs place the mark on a solid patch of deep green rather than directly over foliage. Do not stretch, outline, rotate, add a shadow to or re-colour the mark.

Voice

🌱
Plain and practical Say what to do and when. Short sentences, real timings, no marketing adjectives.
🤝
Never condescending A first-time grower on a windowsill is a gardener. Write to them as one.
📏
Specific over grand “A container 20cm deep” beats “the right pot”. Numbers earn trust.
🪴
Bilingual by default Hindi and English carry equal weight; neither is a translation of the other.

Photography and layout

Photographs are of real plants in real Indian homes — balconies, sills, shared terraces — in daylight, never studio-lit or heavily filtered. Crop close, keep hands and soil in frame, and round every image corner to 14px.

Layouts are left-aligned and generous: one idea per band, 22px page gutters, cards on Paper with a single hairline border. Use one accent per screen; if everything is emphasised, nothing is.
