How to join in
Turn up. There is no membership, no fee and no experience needed at any Grihvatika event — a good half of the people at any workshop have never grown anything. Register by email so we know how many seats and how much soil to bring, and come with a question rather than a notebook.
Start something where you live
Most of our neighbourhood gardens began with two households and a shared bag of compost. If you would like to start one, we can help with a seed and sapling kit, a planting-day plan, and a volunteer who has done it before to come for the first afternoon. Resident associations, schools, temples, clinics and offices have all done it — a strip of unused ground and four willing people is enough.
Volunteer with us
We need people who can lead a workshop, translate a guide into a regional language, photograph plants for the directory, or simply keep a WhatsApp group alive between events. A few hours a month makes a real difference. Write to us through the About Us page and say what you would enjoy doing.
